Inter-agency Coordination Mechanisms

The Chief Executives Board and its subsidiary mechanisms take into account the many coordination and inter-agency networks already in existence. These groups do not fall under the hierarchical structure but may be classified by their sphere of activity.

The Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN Forum) is a global on-line community facilitated by the Food and Agriculture (FAO).

The UN System Network on Rural Development and Food Security is a global partnership approach towards tackling rural development challenges at the country level. Established in 1997 by the UN Administrative Committee on Coordination (today UN System Chief Executives Board for Coordination).

The United Nations System Standing Committee on Nutrition (UNSCN)  is the food and nutrition policy harmonization forum of the United Nations. The UNSCN was created in 1977 as the ACC Subcommittee on Nutrition.
