UN System Task Team on the Post-2015 UN Development Agenda: Membership 23.02.2017

The UN System Task Team was established by the UN Secretary-General to support system-wide preparations for the post-2015 UN development agenda, in consultation with all stakeholders, including Member States, civil society, academia and the private sector. It brings together over 60 UN entities and agencies and international organizations. It supports the multi-stakeholder consultations being led by Member States on a post-2015 global development agenda, by providing analytical inputs, expertise and outreach.

The United Nations Global Compact Inter-Agency Team is a group of UN entities with a strong interest in: 

ensuring coherent support for the internalization of the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact both within the United Nations System and among all Global Compact participants; and  encouraging and supporting constructive UN-business relationships in support of UN goals, including the UN Global Compact.

UN Action Network Against Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict (UN ACTION) 23.02.2017

UN Action Against Sexual Violence in Conflict (UN Action) unites the work of 13 UN entities with the goal of ending sexual violence in conflict. It is a concerted effort by the UN system to improve coordination and accountability, amplify programming and advocacy, and support national efforts to prevent sexual violence and respond effectively to the needs of survivors.

The United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS) was established in 1975 by several UN agencies to serve as a UN System-civil society interface. Since its creation, the UN General Assembly has recognized the value of NGLS’ work on several occasions, in 1982 and again, in 1993. NGLS promotes constructive relations between the United Nations and civil society through dynamic partnerships to foster greater coherence around cross-cutting and emerging issues on the UN’s agenda and by facilitating meaningful civil society engagement in UN processes.

Formally established in 2008, the Partnership for Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction (PEDRR) is a global alliance of UN agencies, NGOs and specialist institutes.
